What is bioplastic?
Bioplastics are made from plant-based materials such as wheat straw, rice husks and sugar cane.
Tiger Tribe bioplastics:
Where the ECO range products contain plastic it is bioplastic made from Wheat Straw Plastic. This raw material uses a by-product that is left over after the harvest called ‘lignin’. It is an organic polymer that when combined with sugar, forms a bioplastic. Wheat Straw is biodegradable so it will take less time to break down naturally. It can decompose and then be used as a fertiliser.
